Network transparency
As a transmission network operator, we provide transparent information about any ongoing measures and we comply with all publication obligations that arise in connection with operating a transmission system.
Network information
Check, if your construction project is located in the area of any of our or other pipelines.
Network information
Our high-pressure natural gas pipelines are located underground and well protected. However, they can be damaged by diggers. Construction companies, planning offices, and private home-builders are therefore legally required to seek information regarding any supply lines that are located within the area of their construction project. Such clarification is necessary to ensure that the pipelines are safe. The corresponding information about our network and those of many other infrastructure providers is available free of charge from BIL Leitungsauskunft.
Construction and maintenance work
We ensure safety and our pipe network is subject to continuous maintenance work. Our current measures are listed here.
Construction and maintenance work
To ensure that our pipe network is safe and to be able to guarantee uninterrupted energy supply, we continuously carry out service and maintenance work as well as smaller construction measures. Here is a list of our latest measures:Other transmission system operators’ maintenance work
According to § 28 paragraph 4 annex 1 CoA (Cooperation Agreement between the Operators of Gas Transmission Networks in Germany), we are required to inform you about any maintenance work performed by third-party transmission system operators that affects the use of the Nowega network. Gas Network Development Plan
The Gas Network Development Plan (NDP) forms the basis for the development of natural gas infrastructure in Germany. It provides that in the long-term future, transmission networks are always adjusted to the requirements at the time. The NDP is developed by all transmission network operators in Germany. The general public and market participants are involved in discussing the NDP, and it is approved by the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur).
Further information and the latest drafts of the NDP are available from the website of the association of transmission system operators FNB Gas.
