GET H2 – The Starting Signal for Hydrogen Infrastructure
In the hydrogen initiative GET H2, 60 companies, institutions and municipalities are actively committed to building the hydrogen economy in Germany and Europe. Nowega is a founding member and coordinator of the initiative.
Together with partners bp, Evonik, OGE and RWE, Nowega is planning one of the first industrial integrated hydrogen projects under the GET H2 Nucleus project. During 2025, the first sections of the hydrogen pipelines were commissioned. They connect the production of green hydrogen in Lingen with industrial offtake in Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia, as well as a hydrogen storage facility in Epe. These are largely existing pipelines that have been converted for hydrogen transport. In addition, new connection and linking pipelines are being constructed.
