Our Projects in the Hannover Region

Project Lehringen – Kolshorn

The pipeline runs from Lehringen to Kolshorn (Lower Saxony) and plays an important role in supplying large consumers in central Germany. It also offers the possibility of connecting regional network operators. A TÜV expert report has already confirmed the feasibility of converting the pipeline for hydrogen transport. According to the report, some upgrade works along the pipeline will need to be carried out prior to conversion. In addition, modifications at two network interconnection points are still required. Partners in this project are Nowega (70 percent) and Gasunie Deutschland (30 percent).

In Kolshorn, the pipeline connects to two further core network measures. Nowega is responsible for measure KLU057-01a and Gasunie Deutschland is responsible for measure KLU046-01.

The northern coupling at Lehringen connects measure KLU045-01/KLN027-01 of Gasunie Deutschland and measure KLU062-01 of Nowega.

Project Kolshorn – Ahlten

The pipeline runs from Kolshorn to Ahlten (Lower Saxony). It serves to connect to regional networks in southern Lower Saxony and to downstream core network measures. In this way, Nowega makes an important contribution to the interconnection of hydrogen networks across Germany.

In Kolshorn, measure KLU061-01 of Nowega and measure KLU046-01 of Gasunie Deutschland connect to the pipeline.

In addition, a connection to the conversion project KLU064-01 of OGE will be established at Ahlten.
