Our Projects in the Emsland Region

Project Hanekenfähr – Schepsdorf – Frenswegen – Bad Bentheim

The pipelines run from Hanekenfähr near Lingen via Schepsdorf and the Nowega operations site in Frenswegen to Bad Bentheim. In April 2025, Nowega put the pipeline sections into operation and filled them with first hydrogen. In the future, the pipelines will serve as an important route for transporting locally produced hydrogen to consumers throughout Germany. The pipelines are part of the IPCEI project GET H2 Nucleus, which is part of the hydrogen initiative GET H2.

In Schepsdorf, the core network measures KLU052-01 and KLU060-01a of Nowega are connected to measures KLU053-01 and KLN033-01.

Measures KLU087-01 and KLU066-01 of project developer OGE connect at Bad Bentheim. Further network interconnections are planned for the future.

Project Schepsdorf – Lingen – Lingen Nord

As part of the IPCEI-funded project, two existing pipelines from Schepsdorf to Lingen Nord will be converted for the transport of hydrogen and a new hydrogen pipeline will be constructed. This will allow an electrolyser to be connected to the Germany-wide hydrogen core network. In addition, important anchor customers will gain access to hydrogen, which can reduce the carbon footprint of the connected party.

In Schepsdorf, the core network measures KLN033-01, KLU053-01 and KLU060-01a of Nowega are connected to measure KLU052-01.
